By the late 1970's, the jogging boom in the US had spread worldwide and had quickly gained popularity in Japan. The centerpiece of Onitsuka™ jogging shoes was the California, named in honor of the birthplace of the popular activity. This was the first shoe to utilize mesh and reflective. This shoe features leather and suede uppers. Originally produced in 1970's.
